The topic that is the locus of this post is the effect of UFOs upon our paradigms of consensus, which is undoubtedly operating fluidly, both within ourselves in terms of critical thinking on the subject leading to operating theories as well as below a intangible surface on an extremely subtle matrix of dynamics on the macroscopic social level. In other words, in light of this, is the question whether UFOs are "real" or not, beside the point? Is the journey more important than the destination? Can there be such a thing as a
catastrophe theory of paradigms?.....does every stasis bring a rearrangement of the playing field? Are UFOs a manistation of this?
Catatastrophe Theory:
"A theory of mathematical structure in which smooth continuous inputs lead to discontinuous responses. Water suddenly boils, ice melts, a building crashes to the ground, or the earth unexpectedly buckles and quakes. The French mathematician René Thom conceived and developed an eclectic collection of ideas into catastrophe theory. His idea was to establish a new basis for a more mathematical approach to biology. Connotations of disaster are misleading, since Thorn's intention was to emphasize sudden, abrupt changes.
There are two important aspects of catastrophe theory which are frequently overlooked or misconstrued. One is that as a rigorous mathematical theory the characteristic catastrophe features can be proved. These features include: jumps in the response; hysteresis or a path dependence in the response, representing a storage of energy for some paths; divergence, where a small path change produces a large response change (as if a source or sink were crossed); and type changes in the response, where a smooth response occurs on one path which becomes discontinuous along a nearby path.
Consider this point of view:
"However, when we observe Objective Reality more closely, both visually and conceptually, we find that behind the facade of the macrocosmic world lurks the world of the microcosm. This is the domain of quarks, subatomic particles, Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, Chaos Theory, and thermodynamic randomness. Max Plank’s Quantum-Mechanical Universe accounts for events that are causal and predictable on a statistical basis but that are non-causal and therefore inherently unpredictable from the perspective of singular events.
Causality governs most aspects of macrocosmic human existence. However, the randomness inserted by the inherent unpredictability of microcosmic events extends gossamer threads into the macrocosmic world and allows for an indeterminate future. Therefore, human beings have Free Will.
Human beings, as well as animals and inanimate events have the ability to break the chains of strict causality postulated by Determinism. We are thus free to influence our affairs and our destiny. In changing our future from what it would have been without the interaction triggered by our free will, we are changing the very universe of which we are an integral part. With the intervention of free will, our future, and thus the future of the universe, will follow a path different from the path it would have pursued without our intervention."
-From "How The World Really Works"
The What If proposition falls into play if one considers that perhaps there is an exchange, a dialog of information constantly intermeshed and reciprocal between the foundational clay of matter and our paradigms and conceptual models in the form of expectation...Is this why UFO's take so many forms which mirror our own conceptual models of the possible in the realm of the leading edge of them? Does this account for the variety of beings, the implausibly absurd, contradictory behavior as well as their lack of direct contact? Can we directly contact ghosts or dreams? And more importantly we should ask, what are they according to our best comprehension of what constitutes their interaction with us? Does this interaction mirror that of UFO's?
Is there a relationship between UFOs and Ghosts as well as Dreams? What are the commonalities they share, as well as the distinctions? And then the tricky matter of free will...and its relationship to the observer witness nature of these manifestations? In other words do these phenomenon occur in a hermetically sealed reality which bears no imprint from our interaction? Is our interaction the point of the exercise? If so..then rather the random manifestations, is there a pathway that would allow us to manipulate the nature of their manifestation in a more directed manner as physics suggests? And perhaps more importantly, is some other form of sentient life utilising this knowledge to churn the evolution of paradigms?

Are we leading ourselves on a wild goose chase by being unable or unwilling to pose the more subtle questions within the UFO community beyond the diadatic nature of the current dialog? Largely it appears, that this is so.

Gee, I can't wait until you start writing in English!
This article is a pack of gibberish.
Fascinating stuff.
I'll be visiting more often.
(It never ceases to amaze me that those of us whose maternal tongue is not English seem to understand its intricacies so much better than native speakers...)
