Some Thoughts About Magnesium
Interspersed throughout the history of Ufology, the singular smoking gun of highly purified samples of magnesium have been largely without a popular context in relation to it's potential use in an extraterrestrials unconventional craft. If we examine the processes in which this material is already utilised perhaps we can determine a potential application of a natural process which may be utilised in unconventional craft especially in relation to the bending of spacetime which Einstein established and our Earth is certainly a good example of a naturally occurring organic spacecraft.
SPECTROGRAPHIC ANALYSTS OF UNKNOWN METALLIC MATERIAL

The sample received was a small piece of a silvery white metal, slightly oxidized on its surface and with a very low specific gravity. It came from the same fragment as the sample used in the analysis reported on Bulletin No. 15.001 issued by the Mineral Production Laboratory.
ANALYSIS REPORT
The spectrographic analysis identified the unknown metal as magnesium (Mg), and showed it to be absolutely pure as it can be concluded from the study of the spectrographic plate taken with the Hilger Spectrograph. No other metal or impurity was detected in the sample analysed; even the so called "trace elements," usually found with any metal, were not present.
A photocopy of the original spectrographic plate is shown in Fig. 2B. There are five spectra recorded on it.
Each one has a position which is marked by a number already registered in the film. They can be identified, from above to below, as the following:
26 Fe
28 Mg (a salt)
30 Unknown
32 Fe
34 36 Fe
A comparison was made between the spectrum of the unknown metal and that of a chempur magnesium salt. It showed clearly that they were identical in fact, all their spectrum lines corresponded with each other. This demonstrated the extreme purity of the metal in the sample. As it is shown in Fig. 2B., all lines in the spectrum of the unknown belong to the element magnesium. Even impurities that might exist in the carbon rod used as electrode (i.e., traces of Mn, Fe, Si and Ti), sometimes appearing as contaminants, were not detected in this case.
A group of representative lines of magnesium was marked on the spectrographic plate. These eight lines were selected at random, as examples. The 2852.2 (intensity: 500) is the most sensitive of the group; the others follow in sequence, arranged on the basis of their relative intensities.

Directly below the insulating crust of our planetary sphere is the mantle. The mantle makes up the largest volume of the Earth's interior. It is almost 2900 kilometers thick and comprises about 83 % of the Earth's volume. It has two parts, an upper layer and a lower layer. The Lower Mantle is much thicker and more dense. It is 670 to 2900 kilometers below the Earth's surface. This layer is hot and plastic. The higher pressure in this layer causes the formation of minerals that are different from those of the upper mantle. Recent findings indicate that a significant portion of this layer is composed of magnesium. In addition this element comprises one third of the composition of sea water as well as being abundant in the earths crust.
The Earth As A Geo-Dynamo
In relation to using the earth to explore how magnesium relates to a larger system which generates both magnetic and gravitational fields, we find dynamo theory, which describes the process through which motion of a conductive body in the presence of a magnetic field acts to regenerate that magnetic field. This theory is used to explain the presence of anomalously long-lived magnetic fields in astrophysical bodies. In such bodies, dynamo action depends on the presence of highly conducting fluids such as the liquid iron of the Earth's outer core or the ionized gas of the sun. Dynamo theory of astrophysical bodies uses magnetohydrodynamic equations to investigate how the flow of the conducting materials in the interior of an object can continuously regenerate the magnetic fields of planetary and stellar bodies.
"These observations argue for a mechanism within the Earth's interior that continually generates the geomagnetic field. It has long been speculated that this mechanism is a convective dynamo operating in the Earth's fluid outer core, which surrounds its solid inner core, both being mainly composed of iron. The solid inner core is roughly the size of the moon but at the temperature of the surface of the sun. The convection in the fluid outer core is thought to be driven by both thermal and compositional buoyancy sources at the inner core boundary that are produced as the Earth slowly cools and iron in the iron-rich fluid alloy solidifies onto the inner core giving off latent heat and the light constituent of the alloy. These buoyancy forces cause fluid to rise and the Coriolis forces, due to the Earth's rotation, cause the fluid flows to be helical. Presumably this fluid motion twists and shears magnetic field, generating new magnetic field to replace that which diffuses away."

Another area of UFO propulsion that is the conceptual field force called "anti-gravity" which no one has any idea of how or if it can be created in such a craft.
Perhaps, instead a more likely candidate is a synthetic state of gravitational equilibrium, much like an manipulation of the Lagrange Point 1 positioned between the gravitational fields of the moon and earth.
All of these musings make one wonder why they have not been further investigated.....
