Part Two of : Bias and Phantasms Alien To Our Experience

One of the under reported and ignored aspects of the phenomenon known as alien abduction are the cases of a witness being present who was unaffected by either alien activities or, for that matter, the experience itself. The reason for this as demonstrated in several cases is the fact that the subject was seen in bed asleep during the experience or even more disconcerting, was found lying on the ground while an "abduction" was taking place in real time when the brain activity of these subjects are in a state unique to sleep. One wonders if this state of unconscious sensate awareness is a precondition that illustrates a form of downtime for information processing that also provides an opportunistic window. Ninety percent of all abductions take place at night. Another aspect of this is the element of missing time, which may not necessarily be due to the subject being absent, but rather having an episode of split consciousness in a unique physiological state. However some discernment is called for in terms of jumping to any premature conclusion as to the root cause of this phenomenon. One of the most fascinating aspects is the organic aspect of the cerebral cortex and the theoretical sequencing of synaptic activity in a quantum state, which suggests a non local source of consciousness as well as a gateway to be potentially tampered with in the intermediate state of potential and probability. In other words, this may be the locus of a highly sophisticated form, of an as yet unrecognised mechcanism to account for having been abducted while proverbially never leaving home. This would certainly be, if true, a highly efficent form of procedure to conduct covert experimentation as to sampling reactive behaviors. One hears faint echoes of Robert Monroe, remote viewing etc.In the next post I will explore quantum theory in the midst of these evidential accounts as a framework to theorise further. However, for the time being perhaps some perspective is due.

One of the many examples of psychological exploration that prematurely manifested into a dualistic and competing set of paradigms is perhaps best illustrated in the intellectual and territorial postures held between the adherents of Freudian and Jungian theories in regard to that intangible organ for the digestion of experience, the persona, or personality.
While Freud attempted the penetration into the reactive nature in the formulation of personality as a learned behavior from the observational cues in childhood, Jung explored another operating system in this hierarchy of processing information, which was the interpenetration of cultural symbolism as a common denominator which was then individuated as integrated into personality as variants of archetypes.
Freud expressed a sympathetic yet firm disavowal of Jung's conceptual model as he feared the newly manifested psychological art would" descend into the black swamp of occultism."
Or course with the retroactive hindsight of our own epoch, we can reasonably observe that these two theories were not mutually exclusive.
Perhaps a similar parallel of this dynamic can be observed between the materialist and the metaphysical theoretical schools of ufology. Perhaps these , as in our previous example are, in fact, two sides of the same well worn coin.
As this dynamic entanglement of apparently oppositional theories unfolds, one grasps this is a reflective shadow of the worldview of paradigms derived from classical material physics which is being transformed by the introduction of quantum mechanics.
From our sensate experience, we intuit there is something, a key characteristic that somehow eludes both classical and quantum schools of philosophical science as well as in ufology, that eludes all of us, thus creating by default, a common cause for a unified field theory which models conceptual reality.
The inability to measure, quantify, calculate or evaluate in order to predict with any certainty the behavior of this phenomenon has positioned the traditional sciences to a stance of a defensive last redoubt, whose downfall would crack the impenetrable dogma of self referential boundaries., Whilst wearing garlands of proverbial garlic that denies and defends their cultural grip on self professed objectivity, traditional science is apparently cut off at the knees by rationalising timidity.
On the other hand, we have, to a large extent, an instinctual aversion in ufology to explore the commonalities of phenomenon that may share a common operating fabric, while manifested in delimiting definitions that are referential shorthand such as ghosts, alien abductions, aerial objects etc.

The quasi-humanoid appearance of archetypes such as the Nordic type, the dwarf type or the grey type have a commonality of manifestation whether it be a cultural tracking mechanism or if this is an individuated imprint upon a proverbial clay inherent on a surface that reflects the preexisting social bias of the individual.
Are there common characteristics between the phantoms known as ghosts and the phantoms known as alien abductors? Is there a common theoretical foundation shared by both the classic possession by sociopathic, hungry ghosts to recapture sensate embodiment through an individual and the induction of a abduction scenario in a dream state as to provoke a sampling of reactive paradigms in a possibly alien design? Whether it is reported as the capability to penetrate solid objects or to manifest at will, are there unknown natural processes that can be utilised, synthesized or manipulated to engender a tangible imprint...upon material reality while on a parrallel path, transforming the reciprocal root of activity in an intangible psyche...are they two sides of a non dualistic coin?

Everyone who has utilised their knowledge of electrical technology to wire a simple circuit knows that there is a positive, a negative and a ground leg that must be reciprocally interdependent to manifest something as simple as the irradiation of a light bulb. which is in effect, a reconciliation of these three aspects of a phenomenon, or manifestation. One affirms, one denies and the last reconciles the other two as a proverbial Holy Ghost. We are in search of a factor of reconciliation where the raw material of the tangible is unified to the intangible processes of probability, potential and choice through the introduction of bias made manifest in the reconciliation of these two circumstances. Whether they be Nordics, greys or Auntie Em, all of these phantasms may only be individuated by either their natural occurrence as in the example of a electrical field such as surrounds the earth, or the intentional and synthetic manipulation of this self same field to light a light bulb. Same process, differing causation.

Can we borrow from our kind neighbors in differing fields, some tools to explore these common characteristics, or further, is it possible we need a multi-disciplinary approach that would refine the conceptual models we utilise to theorise upon alien abductions? In Part Three, we will examine some possibilities.
